Eolian

from $4,200.00

In the Relics series, I use the colors and shapes of single-use plastics as a palette in the camera, transforming what was made to be thrown away into something luminous. These works are meant as quiet markers of a different future: one in which plastics are relics of the past, not agents of harm.

Eolian sweeps bands of pale gold and aqua across a ground of grey, echoing the restless patterns of wind and sand. Created in-camera using single-use plastics, the piece transforms the disposable into painterly abstraction, holding both softness and force in its shifting lines.

Its motion mirrors the power of windblown landscapes—from dunes migrating across deserts to particles carried high into the atmosphere. Scientists have found that these same winds now transport microplastics across continents, depositing them in even the most remote regions. Eolian reflects that unseen journey: fragments of what we’ve made moving endlessly through the air, reshaping the world around us.
